I think "Impressive Instant" too. i think every MADONNA song has some dj mix to it. as if she didn't make her songs dance-y enough. i don't consider those official anyway. i just don't see the point. i mean if a dj mixes it while his spinning at the club, fine. but why announce a "dj only" remix of anything? it's like saying...."oooh look what you can't buy". rub it in our faces. yeah..promote the albums in clubs, blah blah blah....but don't you think that's where her music is going to be in heavy rotation anyway? "Hung Up" dj only release (fag-a-licious re-dub) 17:25bpm (uber-campy-ho-down-mix) 1hr 15:35 min (as-if-your-ass-wasn't-gay-enough-in-those-hot-pants-remix) extended remix 5hrs (total fag-da-monium on the dancefloor edit- extended remix Jean-Luc radio mix) 15hrs3mins45sec redub version. camp is such a stupid word edit! Sone of Confessions may not stand on it's own but as it album is it stellar. that's why i'm not going to worry about singles charts. the album will do fine. I definitely agree that she began to think about albums as a listening experience rather than a collection of singles and filler. From what I can make out (and I think Im the only fan on the planet who has resisted listening yet.....only 3 more days ), confessions is similar to Erotica & ROL in that it has this vibe running through it, mainly because she works with a main producer (Shep Pettibone, William Orbit & Stuart Price - all DJ's). If warner really is planning on releasing 5 singles off it, there certainly seem to be parallels between the 3 records, particularly when you think that with each record she's embracing a new dance sound that becomes the backbone of the record as opposed to hit singles (like Music, Bedtime Stories).

Oh its been easy. I've simply tried to avoid going home and being round my broadband connection, resulting in me getting a lot of work done, and drinking copious amounts of alcohol. The wait is sure going to be worth it, but lets just say my health is going to take a few months to recover.

I haven't connected with any Madonna album like this other than RoL. Right now, my top five are shaping up to be: Ray of Light Confessions on a Dancefloor Erotica Like a Prayer Music (believe it or not!) This disc is just pure, fun dance music. I honestly don't dislike any of the tracks. Even the totally retarded lyrics of "I Love New York" don't ruin it, because the tune has such an infectious groove. I'm simply DYING to get to dance to these songs. I wish some local club would play the album in its entirety, because it really deserves to be heard that way. And you'll find half the folks here disagree.I love the 2 you mentioned and HATE ILNY...even musically. Musically,"I Love New York" sounds like a cross between "Ray Of Light" and "Beautiful Stranger"....very edgy and loud.I also love her "I-don't-give-a-fuck" attitude on this track reminds me of the punk-rock segment of the Drowned World Tour.

EXACTLY! This is what I was hoping Music and American Life would be. Now, I love Music, but I thought she got too serious in spots, and it just became inconsistent. RoL worked because the subject matter of all the songs was of a deeper nature. Music and AL never could seem to make up their minds if they wanted to follow that approach, or just cut loose and have fun. Finally, Maddy has just decided to say "fuck it" and get out and shake her ass! 11/10/05 12:36 AM madonna's new album is INSANE!..loving it thanks mtv for the leak! -- piglet67 11/10/05 12:48 AM RE: madonna's new album is INSANE!..loving it It's hard to know where to begin on this new record, it is an inspired piece of music. This is a masterpiece of modern record-making, I have a copy of it and I can't stop playing it. I will BUY my copy legitimately on the 15th and pick one up for my sister too. -- LatinLover270 11/10/05 12:59 AM RE: madonna's new album is INSANE!..loving it I've been listening to it for the past week. The best songs are: * "Sorry" * "Get Together" * "Isaac" -- piglet67 11/10/05 8:04 AM RE: madonna's new album is INSANE!..loving it "Hung Up" is good enough, but everyone is agreeing that "Sorry" is going to EXPLODE. I'm starting to think it's the best track on the record. "Get Together" and "Isaac" are also 2 of the better tracks too, I agree. -- jordanandhilary09 11/10/05 3:43 PM RE: madonna's new album is INSANE!..loving it omg this is like the 100th post i've seen about her new CD being "great" "explosive" "astonishing" "insane" and many other words. is the cd really THAT GOOD!!!??? i havent yet 2 hear it but idk thats awesome 4 her i think. even tho i loved the songs "American Life" & "Hollywood" i thought she went downhill after that. I guess i am gonna have 2 give the album a listen... ttyl & i'll let chall no what i think!! till next time! -- piglet67 11/10/05 4:56 PM RE: madonna's new album is INSANE!..loving it jordanandhil...yes, the CD is THAT good! Even though I'm a fan, I call it the way it is, when "American Life" was out, I was ready to transfer allegiance to Shakira (or anyone). I was posting all sorts of advice here to her openly. Glad she took it! Anyway, this is most certainly the best studio record she has ever created, tracks 2 through 10 are UNBELIEVABLY good. Track 1, "Hung Up," is a good single (though not exceptional), but it sets the tone and by 2nd track the pace picks up fastly and furiously. Tracks 11 and 12 conclude the record well but are probably the next two weakest next to "Hung Up." But even these 3 songs are better than average songs. The record achieves I would say 4 unbelievable peaks - "Sorry" (seems to be everyone's favorite and rumored the next single), "I Love New York," "Get Together," and "Forbidden Love" (a genuinely beautiful, heartfelt song about love that faces obstacles because of class distinctions). But then I don't know if I can say it has only 4 unbelievable peaks, "Jump" and "How High" are also very nearly at that level. -- jordanandhilary09 11/10/05 11:06 PM RE: madonna's new album is INSANE!..loving it i really can't believe it. Even tho i have download Madonna songs b4 ("Hollywood" & "Music") i really like "Hung Up" and if the CD is THAT good as every1 is saying. I might get it .lol.. i havent heard it yet but i am about 2 go hear it now if my PC will work! I thought by the way the album cover looks the album would suck, cuz i dont really like the cover. But anyways. If i do get "Confessions..." then that will be the 1st Madonna CD i ever bought! -- astral_sky 11/08/05 6:30 PM RE: Madonna's astonishing new record her best record to date! Im so pleased about this album all dance! -- piglet67 11/08/05 7:08 PM Rate It! 1 2 3 4 RE: Madonna's astonishing new record Latin...are you serious? I read the title "I Love New York" and thought, "oh, how gay!" (not that I have anything against gayness/homosexuality, just the campiness usually associated with it) and that is probably the hottest track on the record! It is AT LEAST a standout track. I think the 1st 1/2 is clearly stronger than the 2nd 1/2, but the 2nd 1/2 is really good too. But the first 1/2 is the greatest side of music she's ever created on a studio record of new material. "Sorry" and "Get Together" and "I Love New York" are probably my 3 favorites. She has at least 4 that would do very, very well on radio if given the chance. I don't think "Push" is that great, I agree. Good enough but because the rest of the record is so tight, it's just kind of there. Might grow on me. -- MsCaLiGurl_ 11/09/05 8:31 PM Rate It! 1 2 3 4 Madonna's Hung Up Video... a great comeback! Bravo! I really like the video. When Madonna performed this week on German TV show "Wetten, dass..?", she refused to use their toilets. The show's producers had to use a crane to bring Madonna's own personal 18 square metre luxury toilet into the grounds. The mega-bog contained two wash basins with halogen lighting, two showers and a separate toilet room and cost €3500 to rent. The Pope used the same model when he visited Cologne.
(FYI: Green Day and Shakira were also on the show but they used the normal shitters.) just thought this bit of gossip was hilarious! [Edited 11/11/05 12:55pm]
